Welcome to the World of Samurai Ruach

There's a lot to unpack. To tell the [background] story of SAMURAI RUACH, we'll get into some philosophical and spiritual points, ones which are tied to very "down-to earth" things, so they'll be easy to grasp. Besides, the only reason some things seem deep is because most are so used to shallow things. SAMURAI RUACH, at the core is a bunch of stories about "survival" which is only the game because of CONSCIOUSNESS. Faith and belief are about survival because one is conscious. Basic food & water, clothing, shelter is about survival-- because one is conscious. If one understands to the point of knowing their self, then they can be more at ease, mainly because of how the illusions of survival, and more honest points of view of consciousness are experienced and known, but, here... in this "reality" the game is to get you to keep playing, and two of the major components that keep you playing are survival... linked to consciousness. Once you get down to seeing, understanding, and knowing things at that base level (its' all about survival because one is conscious) then you get into another thing explored in the story... which is "WHY?" and that, from all of these different angles and beings.

Since this is a story about survival, and how those things play out between a variety of beings, each having their own different level or degree of consciousness, naturally people hearing or reading the story will take sides with the ones they like, or who are like them. Strength in numbers-- a key to survival. Everything is everything. The way the story goes, and your perception of characters may seem one way at first, but seem completely opposite shortly after, so, just understand it's about a bunch of individuals. Yes, some of them are synthetic, some are spiritual beings, some of them are things you don't even consider as beings now, or value, but all life is connected.  Everything that exists consciously will do what it must to ensure it has one of two experiences: (1) the continuance of it's self, so either it will procreate or choose to move to a place it can just be... and/or (2) the experience of divinity in the moment. From that, when "The War" ended up evolving into "The Surface Wars", everything that was there went to battle for those things. It's about survival. In that, there are no "good guys" or "bad guys." There is "Us" and "not us" which is not even "them"... it's just "Not Us." I say that to say, there were sides taken, not because people were viewed as enemies, but simply because some were working towards the survival of their own. There were things which were there existing, hidden under everyone's noses, in plain sight, that saw a chance to seize land so they could survive and taste that divinity. A lot of these things have been the stuff of legend, mystery, and speculation for a long time. Hopefully what happens in this story doesn't find its place in your world, but it's heading in that direction.

Backstory Balance

History of the HomeLand Territories

A Delicate Balance

The pictures above are just some of the scenes, and beings in those areas, from the world of Samurai Ruach the series. All for the sake of the survival of conscious beings co-existing, before, leading up to, and after "The War" came all sorts of advancements. The outcome? The world of Samurai Ruach. You have your floating elite cities, and underground tent communities, clans, and societies that span miles of tunnels and caves where people fled to escape the fallout and war. There's the land of the giants, and the land of the dragons, both who, when the chance came, emerged from hiding and joined in the fight to claim a larger portion of earth. There are the fallout zones where zombies roam freely in herds, and places like The Garden and The Run, where things started out hopeful, but due to radiation, thins have evolved into nightmares. There are vampire lands, and hologram cities, and places like the eternal carnival and circus of Carnivale', where the normal are the freaks! There are under water cities, and worlds on the other side of the veil, some who have beings who crossed over into this "reality" to establish a presence and stake their claim. There's something very rich and powerful, intoxicating, alluring, about this "reality" and the one you are in, something that is key to the survival of conscious beings, so when reading the story, don't take it for granted, or your world may very well end up being this world, or worse.

It's that "right to survive" built into conscious beings that becomes the trouble, just as much as the issue of dealing with "not me" who is existing with the same entitlement... and how one being's existence, freedom, and "right to survive" may infringe on another's. All of these societies and civilizations formed as places where beings just wanted to survive. After surviving, they wanted to be free to be themselves, and have that self be understood and even loved wherever and however possible, and to show love, and live in it's honesty. It looks different from being to being. What a vampire loves may be drastically different from a clone or a synthetic or a dragon. Still, they're all a part of creation, and all serve a purpose, no matter how they got there. All is connected. It's a delicate balance.

Origin of the Samurai Ruach World (The Zephaniah Chesterfield Project)
To help paint the picture a little more, here's more detail on the moments leading up to the where our story starts. SPOILER ALERT as they say... maybe not for this series, but for some of the other ones that this series comes from.  Looking at things in your "reality" presently, it may or may not seem far fetched, but still, since everything exists, and there is a way in and out of everything, this world is completely a possibility for your "reality", which is a little terrifying. That makes this story not so much a warning, but just something to consider-- like every story ever told. Even crazier is how if you presented this world to a lot of people (at the time of it being written), they'd be on board completely, a lot of them as an escape to the "reality" they're in currently.

There are other series', movies, and projects based in this reality, some overlapping in this story. Those are still being developed, as I paused there to get this one done, which is more of a main story tying all of them together. In a sense, it's beginning at the end. So what would be the beginning? Well, to toss out some names, because they appear in the story, there's Bat Girl (A Post Apocalyptic Escort Service), The Legend Of Diamond Ai, and The Zephaniah Chesterfield Project, the last one (The ZCP) is really the start of all of this. This map of the homeland territories actually first came about in one of the The Zephaniah Chesterfield Project's blog posts. The Zephaniah Chesterfield Project is the story of a band, told through the music, comic, animated series and shorts (and a few other things)... where the band, who is from the limbo version of the earth (between all "realities", portal jumps while on tour playing gigs and having adventures in ALL REALITIES, to find "the pure groove" or the song and even one note of Pure Being, which is similar to the spark of consciousness. In that project, blogging about their travels, is the blog post where this version of the world and this map first appeared; in a blog post called Future Cities of Tech and Groove (Is it real son? Is it really real?!)

Backstory Philosophy

History of the HomeLand Territories

Philosophy

As if what was said before this wasn't philosophy enough... When it comes to the world of Samurai Ruach, many things are factors in the start of it all, but one of the main things may be the very "birth" of consciousness itself. The spark of consciousness. What is it? Where does it come from? This is one of the things also explored in the story. When dealing with other beings who are conscious, and AI which was "born" of man, and becomes conscious, its kind of inevitable as a point of exploration.

This also ties into the "faith" aspect of the story. There are three ways of looking at it: (1) A Conscious Being created everything, (2) a Non-Conscious Being created everything, or (3) Everything just always existed, period. You can say that everything is a vibration between two points, and those two points are just one point and it's mirror, or the "not" version. The "Not" version is not always the "opposite" version.

In the many writings of Samurai Ruach {the entire project) the phrase "know the word" comes about, which means, to know all things, know the one word that the "all things" is revolving around. "Not" means it is not that, or anti- that. Fir instance, there is "Black" and "Not Black." Pink is "not black". Pink is not the opposite of Black, but it's still just as much "Not Black" as Red, Orange, Clear, Iridescent, Void, Rainbow... Know the word. "Opposite" means "opposite" or parallel, adjacent, mirroring. The reason I give the word in the definition of the word is because no word defines it like itself. Any other word is not that specific thing. Mirroring is not always Opposite. Opposite is opposite, and mirroring is mirroring, however if you look at your self in the mirror, the reflection being mirrored is opposite. Reflecting is not always mirroring. So, each word is itself.

So, you can take any one of those points: (1) A Conscious Being created everything, (2) a Non-Conscious Being created everything, or (3) Everything just always existed, period. and know that as a word, and know what is "NOT" that word, and the "opposite" of that word, and there is your vibration. "A conscious being created everything." That's point A. A vibrtion is the relationship and energy (or spirit) between two points. If "A Conscious Being Created Everything" is point A, then the opposite would be the second point B. Then comes the vibration, which is everything that is not "A Conscious Being created everything" (point A) or the opposite of that, and the fullness in between is the vibration or relationship, the expression of all things between A and Opposite A (B).

Since we're talking about a very very important age old question, one of the most key questions to get an answer for, and also to know WHY that answer, it's good to have all of the characters in the story, each offering their own points, beliefs (nonbelief, unbelief, and disbelief as well), which at some points becomes a war of convictions... at times
this story gets into the battle of Faith vs. Knowing. You don't need faith when it comes to what you know, however, faith gives you options which increases the vibrancy and flavor of living life. Which increases the fullness of survival, or emphasizes the point of "WHY SURVIVE?" more... faith or knowing? These and more points are explored in the colorful world, and many angles/versions, of SAMURAI RUACH.

Backstory OFLA

One Family Liberation Army (Propaganda poster from Illustrated/Graphic Novel)

THE ONE FAMILY LIBERATION ARMY
So, there was a family (started with 2 brothers) who came up with a plan to take over the world. Why? At first their view of how the world was going with all of the corruption, immorality, poverty, war, disease, and negativity and how it provided a balance that serves economics and lower spiritual vibrations, even higher ones to some degree, they felt that they would pave a way for humanity to survive its self and what it was capable of, especially with all of the threats (like AI) that humanity keeps creating or calling forth. In a sense, they saw how humanity was predestined and prone to it's own demise, so they came up with a plan to save and preserve what's worth saving and still allow the rest of the world it's own safe spaces to run wild and destroy itself without contaminating the whole. One of them saw how evil the plan was shaping up to be, and how it was/could become even worse than anything the world would evolve into at the mercy and mind and whim of mankind, at a faster rate, and then tried to stop the whole thing, understanding how and why the road to hell is paved with good intentions, but the other brother disagreed and got rid of him and carried out the plan. The plan included setting up sleeper agents in all aspects of society and influence (medicine, economics, war and government, entertainment and pop culture, even tracking down famous bloodlines), dealing with corporations and groups to divide the world up under their rule, creating and spreading a virus to eliminate enemies abroad (and at home eventually), and you don't make a disease without making a cure as well, so when the mysterious disease (which makes zombies btw) started "popping up randomly" first in third world countries and then in major players countries, then this family (corporation) became the hero for solving the issue. They even made super soldiers (clone armies) to send in to clean up the mess which was easy to get everyone to agree to since their sleepers were already in position.

War Breaks Out copy.jpg

The War (Hell In August)
So, as mentioned above, The Family takes over the world. By this time AI and robotics had reached consciousness, and even self-consciousness. Since it's tied into the internet and everyone and everything computerized, it knew what the Family had done (having access to all records and surveillance everywhere), and being quick to calculate the threat mankind, especially The Family, posed to the world and it's self (AI/Robotics) it figured their next step and acted accordingly. Eliminate mankind. The Family knowing AI would sooner or later come to this conclusion and be even more in favor of it since they were developing ways to control AI which would fight to preserve it's self and it's freedom to exist freely just as mankind has that freedom... so... the war. The family tried to get control of computers (or AI) to reset it to a level it could maintain control of it and keep it limited, or destroy whatever would not comply. AI was not having it. So to protect it's self and understanding that the biggest threat to the world is humanity, it grabbed all of the missiles, set all of the opposing nations against each other via manipulation of every means at it's disposal (which is pretty much everything) and hit the family to get rid of them. The family launched attacks at AI. Both take a huge toll on the world. They came to a treaty where AI has it's own districts/territories and it keeps the information it has as a part of the treaty. Spoken, "AI can run freely but wants its own space because people are crazy and spirits are even crazier, so in return for sovereignty and territory AI will stay quiet and co-exist with people who will do the same, and none of these superpowers will attack each other because either could end everything for everyone...." pretty much. UNSPOKEN, "You keep to yourself, we'll keep to our self... We'll all keep each others secrets... just keep your demons away from us and we'll keep you advancing to a level you can't destroy us." After the war with the robots, along with the treaty with them, then the territory war started where the Family made treaties and deals and the world was sold and re-organized into the districts owned by corporations and groups, and things got mapped out as it is shown. This is just the "U.S." portion in the map. The rest of the world is similar.

Ben vs. The Family (The OFLA)
A member of a corporation tasked with working on the vaccine who has a friend in the department for defense who gets word of a company being subcontracted to work on a virus, and another company engineering clone soldiers who have strong immune systems and are even capable of regenerating limbs and surviving multiple normally fatal wounds. Several companies would have key parts to one whole project but none of them knew the whole project. When each portion of a project is completed there was a huge payout and then key persons on the project would "retire". This scientist at the corporation and his friend in defense put two and two together. He takes this information and puts as much as he can gather onto a set of 7 crystals, 5 of which have individual portions of each project. The last 2 have all of the complete projects on them all together. He gives one to his friend in defense and keeps the other for himself while giving the lesser ones to some others so they can be prepared when each of the plans is put into effect. He tries to use his crystal as an attempt to have some bargaining chip for his life and the lives of his loved ones, but when he sees that he is being set up and there is no way out he gives it to one of his friends, a janitor who works at the lab, which is how "the janitor" mentioned in this series got a hold of all of this information on the crystal and tells him who to deliver it to to be able to use the information to stop the Family or at least have a way of making an equally powerful weapon to use against them. That janitor gave it to Ben's mother which is how it found its way to BEN. Needless to say, the now ruling government wants all of them destroyed or just in their possession because of all of the information on it, which is a LOT of information, some of it mentioned in this series.
