Community Centers

(Galleries, Production Studios, Venues, Ect.)

spiritual advis wht.jpg

Trying to be optimistic. I have done this a few times over, but here's another polished and reformatted version of this portion of plans I'd come up with several times in the past. Here are some plans/ideas for a Community Arts Center/Production Studio, where basically an artist can walk in with an idea, and all of the equipment and/or information or resources would be available to help them get it done-- if not, then to at least point them in the right direction. Also there is a Bar/venue to host events, which has a unique angle. Also, there are plans/ideas for a different style of multi-dimensional Art Gallery, which sounds like a lot, but by the time anyone see's this it'll be done by someone with money, help, resources-- someone life and "God" cares about. Maybe that person is YOU?!

For the sake of listing them here and making it easy to navigate, i'll just call them:

01. The Arts & Production Center

02. The Enter Active Gallery

03. The Zero Percent (this was the name from the original plan for the bar venue).

(Back to top)  (to BOTTOM Menu)

Either way, what i was working on was making places where people who life DIDN'T give a crap about could come to at least express themselves, FREELY, in a safe space, and possibly start an artistic career. The buildings/projects are actually linked in a way: You can come into the Arts Production Studio Center and get your art created, and then showcase it at the Gallery or Venue when you're done. Maybe that would be enough to get a person back on their feet, in bright spirits, and able to walk in their purpose. Sometimes you just need that creative space-- the resources, because you have the time and mind, but not the backing. I'd been in that position lots of times, and the time and things you have to do to GET the resources kills your soul and spirit sometimes. This was a "hail-mary" kind of place, where since others might not make it out, or get consumed by this world, maybe we could work here and help YOU to make it out alive?! So far there's just this that you're reading, so, that shows you how much life cares.

In the past when I had hope and believed things, I'd go as far to even put together lists of the items needed on sites like MusiciansFriend, PSSL, and other music stores, Amazon, and even get parts from catalogs like ServUOnline (bar/restaurant equipment) and other park/playground equipment. I would go all out, even picking out the carpet and socket covers-- it was that detailed. I used to fast and focus on it, do the affirmations, pray on it-- all of that crap. I drew out different floorplans, buildings from scratch, researching buildings on real-estate sites, even put together different styles of container-home buildings-- different sizes for different applications and budgets, but all of that work, prayer, faith, and whatever else just turned to crap. Speaking to people about it produced nothing. NOTHING produced anything, so here it is in the void. It was like all of heaven and the hell that works for it, all move as one whenever I try to make progress, and everything just wants me to kill myself, which only sounds dumb because no one ever really dies, so there's just more torment after.

If you found this and do something with it, or at least use it for a start-- yay. I'm losing motivation to even type this, but whenever it hits, I'll try to get this to as up to speed as I had it before (as best as I can do here). There really isn't much motivation to even wake up anymore, so doing this is really draining and insulting. I don't know where to start anymore as far as getting any of this done, and I'm pretty burnt out on living as of the time of writing this so... yeah.

MAIN BILDING/Rental Production Studio spaces

(years ago when i first drafted this project, the site i was interested in was this one)

1941 Spring Cypress Rd,  Spring, TX 77388
23,000 SF Building For Sale - $2,900,000 ($126/SF)

 OVERVIEW

The main building is geared towards art projects including but not limited to audio and visual production and artist development. The space is set up to deliver top quality audio and visual recording and production, photography, graphic design, illustration, as well as options for printing merchandise including DTG printers, copiers/printers, and a heat transfer sublimation and  silk screen equipment. An artist can walk in with an idea and walk out with the complete demo and promo package, from the produced song, video, images, and some merchandise options to help them kick start their project.

Rental space for artists and entrepreneurs who are trying to further their art projects that fall in line with what the space offers is another thing we provide. Not only will the entity offer it’s services but it offers the space as well for those who have the talent and ability to use what it offers to help further their own business in a rental capacity. Producers and designers can rent the studio and equipment on available days to build their own clientele,  and there is even rental practice space for bands, dance, fitness classes, etc. Some just don’t have the space to get the job done. We do. Come and get the job done. This helps them get on their feet and establish a business they can go out and create more jobs with.

Everyone has something to give and in some cases some people don’t need or want a hand out, they need or want a leg up so they can get on their own two feet. In a sense some just need the space to grow. Things can only grow where there is the space to grow. The conditions, the will, the resources, all of those things and more are great factors, but if there is no space for those things, nothing will grow. Everything exists in a space, but is that space the right space for it to grow, and if it allows growth, in which way? Negative or positive? Is it beneficial or damaging? Does it grow light or darkness? We’re focused on having space that allows for positive light growth and understanding so one is more prepared to go out into the world with a solid foundation.  In a sense we’re offering soil and a starting pot to grow the tree you will put into your own ground later. We’re blessed to have the space and time and means to offer this opportunity as well and so we’re doing our best there. All of the main spaces when not use for the business are open for rental space. This way artists and entrepreneurs who are trying to further their art projects or businesses who may not have access to the equipment we have here can develop their own thing and produce anything that falls in line with what the space offers.

 PRODUCTION ROOMS/LABS

> Audio Recording Studio Rooms:

(1)  Audio Recording Studio Room A has a large enough space for analog and live band recording with  a side booth by the control desk for recording vocals where a live band is not needed for a more direct and intimate layout. The studio is equipped with all of the gear that would be needed for top quality production and recording.

(2)  Audio Recording Studio Room B is a smaller sound booth called “The Beat Box” is a single computer with a recording setup for artists who work solo and produce and record, similar to recording at your own desk in a home studio. It’s designed for those who are more focused and don’t need a lot to get a lot done but don’t have access to any other equipment. Also sometimes an artist or producer might want a more private space to work out their style until they’re comfortable enough for a larger room, so this allows a no-pressure at-home kind of feel.

> Band Practice Rooms: Band practice rooms are available for rent as well which are soundproofed as to not interfere with the rest of the building but gives bands and artists a space to work out their live performances which is one of the best ways for artists to make money (door covers/ticket sales and merchandise) due to how everything can be copied online. It’s a great space to work on your stage and other live event performances, and even to film live session videos in that style.

> Blank Space: The Blank Space is a small lounge, comfy enough for a small group or just one person. It’s a quiet space where one can go and just think or read, draw, or write, or do whatever artistic expression they can think of privately and unplug from the computerized over saturated commercial existence the world has come to be and just re-center. It is beneficial to have a space that doesn’t dominate your energy. Studio rooms call for studio performance and mind, while painting or graphics labs call for that energy. This space is blank for you to find or self and then go out and create with a clear and focused mind and being. It’s more than a couch and some chairs with a view, but it’s that too.

> Graphics Lab: The Graphics/Web Design Computer Suite is built to handle the most up to date web and graphic design needs. It is complete with the needed computers, software, and printers.

> Photo Lab: The Photo Lab room has a green screen and some other backdrops, as well as lighting, and even some cameras and a computer with the up to date photo and video editing software.

> Podcast Suites: The 2 podcast suites are set up with a computer with some of the most updated  podcasting software and platform access, as well as the best internet for live streaming and top tier podcasting interface equipment. It’s set up for a round table desk discussion and a smaller room for one on one interviews or solo shows.

> Print Shop/Room: There is a Print studio which has a range of printing capabilities from regular documents, to posters and fliers, to direct to garment printers, as well as a heat transfer sublimation machines and a silk screen equipment. The room has is a computer with the most up to date graphics programs to assist in the design and printing of the shirts, documents, logos, and whatever else is needed. There is a large printer/plotter for printing posters and blueprint designs for larger printable things. Also there are the needed paper cutters to cut business cards, fliers, invitations, etc. after printing them. There is even a 3D printer for projects that require it. The aim is to make sure that there is a fully functional print shop for whatever printing needs for our own business and to help anyone else who is starting their own print business or to assist with their graphic design or any other types of business needing prints.

 PRODUCTION ROOMS/LABS PRICING & RENTALS

Not all of the rooms may be available for rent. I don’t know how many people would be interested in renting a print shop/studio. Usually they just go to Kinkos or Staples or some place. For the rooms/labs that are available for rent there is a schedule of availability and a price list for people to know how to reserve the spaces. The prices should be good enough to help them build their clientele and eventually save and build their own location. We’re a revolving door of progress. Come in, establish and build, and then pay it forward in your own business.

It is suggested that guests renting the spaces have their own address or a P.O. Box for a permanent address as the building’s address is not available for use. There are hourly prices for persons looking to use the facility for just a few hours, more of a one time thing. From this idea you can either have packages for certain amounts of hours or get into daily prices. I’m not sure if weekly rentals (or monthly) would be available as it would not be fair to others (and ourselves) needing to use the space. You can also work out the details in the contracts as far as no-shows and cancellation policy.

Room/Lab Occupancy Rates

HOURLY Price: $
DAILY Price: $

Cancellation fee: $

Enter Active Art Gallery

Multi-Dimensional Art Gallery

>> OVERVIEW

The ENTER ACTIVE ART GALLERY is an art gallery like no other. It exists multi-dimensionally, meaning there is both a physical location, and a virtual/digital one. What's more is the artwork is available in both mediums: physical, tangible versions, and virtual digital versions-- everything from holographic sculptures and interactive paintings, to clothing and merch for you and our avatars on gaming platforms. Both locations feature some of the most innovative and futuristic artwork, with all of the classic flair and style of a traditional art gallery. It's perfect for hosting events globally, yet exclusively, as there can be one guestlist and occupancy for the physical venue, and another for the virtual (digital) venue. Premiers and exhibitions can be attended globally, all at the same time.

VENUE ROOMS
The venue should have separate rooms with various amounts of wall space, and an open floorplan. There should be space to add in customizable partitions (extra wall space) as needed, and that wall space should be just as functional as the walls themselves.

The main draw is the artwork. Again, each room should be tailored to a specific type of medium:

FEATURED ARTIST ROOM: This room should be one of the most capable and customizable rooms, able to express the artist(s)' vision. For featured artists and special events,

The OUT OF FRAME ROOM: This room is for traditional medium artwork, but all of it is 3 dimensional. Sculptures, paintings that come out of the frame-- still pieces that perform. I've seen them done and was wondering if there was a venue just for works like that, so, i created a space.

visual digital artwork,

one room for artwork that is interactive that requires music (so a listening room) that is more laid back with couches and comfortable seating.

FASHION & ARMORY: This room is a combination of fashion pieces of all styles (or a featured artist), and adjacent to that-- an armory. I've always loved armories, so to have one that shows the functionality, yet beauty of suits of armor and weapons right across from fashion is a nice twist-- says me.

THE WALLS (ROOM): The Walls is an idea I've not seen in a gallery, or museum. What it is, is a long basement lounge area-- a long open floorplan room with seating, some turntables and a jukebox, a checkered dancefloor, and open wall space. In this room you can hang your own artwork by renting a section of a wall (renting wallspace). There are 2 side walls dedicated to this, which should be opposite one another. If any extra space is needed, more moveable walls could be brought in into the center of the room. The open mic, open dancefloor must not be blocked. There is a smalls stage in this room as well for live performances.  The entrance wall is open for stickers. Just bring your stickers in and slap them on the wall. The wall behind the stage area is open for graffiti.

… Sound/Stage features mixing recording station (desk with computer and equipment to run mics, lights, and engineer/produce/record live shows and events)

… music equipment storage area (amps & backline onstage at all times. Other equipment in storage.) [see SweetWater.com list for full equipment list]
… music equipment & storage area (transportable indoors to outdoor area) [see SweetWater.com list for full equipment list]

The Zero Percent (0%). A non-alcoholic bar and venue

>> OVERVIEW

The Zero Percent (0%) is a small Non Alcoholic Bar and Venue. We serve coffee too and have a few snacks on hand and a very cheap vending machine. The concept is to have a place with everything you get at your smaller local bar or pub but without the hassle of what comes with the alcohol: DUI’s, drunk driving accidents; fights/other assaults, public intoxication, “beer muscle(s)”, arrests; physical, mental, and spiritual health damage; no black-outs; no backsliding, safe for addicts and recovery and AA and other programs, etc.; and safe for all ages (where allowed), all people and groups who love the bar atmosphere but don’t like drinking alcohol. Just the removal of darker lower spirits and those attached or in association with alcohol (gangs, drugs, violence, rape, drunken lust, etc.) you open the space for brighter more positive energy, and adding the coffee even boosts the atmospheric shift and vibe uplift to something more family oriented and safe.

As a Venue
The main bread and butter is the surprisingly wide array of non-alcoholic beverages that offer all of the taste but none of the negativity. There are beers and wines and even some “liquors” as well (virgin drinks). The bar also serves coffee, which coffee bars have their own atmosphere. So when it comes to small coffee shops, small pubs/taverns/bars, and small venues you get the best of all worlds.

Along with the drinks is the musical aspect. There’s an indoor stage as well as an outdoor stage for live performances.  stage area with a full back-line (drum kit, guitar amps, bass amp, keyboard amp, microphones) and lighting. All you have to do is show up and play or bring your own instruments and plug in. It can handle smaller crowds and is best for newer artists, open mics, karaoke, and small private shows and releases. It’s got the same intimacy as a coffee shop but also with that bar cool factor. Since it has all of the live stage equipment it’s also a nice place to record a live demo or live album (with a small crowd if you want a live crowd sound with the live stage sound) and do some live video shoots. Also available for comedy shows, birthday parties and group events, album releases, small gospel concerts and battle of the bands, and a Sunday Potluck dinner BBQ. We are food truck friendly. There’s some of our own favorite bar touches as well, like a pool table, jukeboxes, dartboard, chess board, and a small quiet reading nook.
